Deadline for Hajj 2025 Application Submissions Ends Today

The deadline for submitting Hajj 2025 applications is set to expire today, with the government having received over 54,000 applications. The government has allocated a total of 89,605 spots for Pakistani pilgrims this year, including a special provision for overseas Pakistanis to participate through sponsorships. Due to the installment-based payment system for the regular Hajj scheme, this year has seen a higher volume of applications compared to previous years.

Once the applications are finalized, preparations for the pilgrimage will move forward, including the finalization of the Hajj flight schedule. Accommodations for pilgrims in Madinah will be organized based on these schedules. Additionally, all logistics, including transport, food, and procurement of necessary offices, will be coordinated in Saudi Arabia.

The official draw for the government’s Hajj scheme will take place on December 6, determining which applicants will be selected for the pilgrimage. In an effort to facilitate the process, 15 designated banks across the country remained open over the weekend, allowing applicants to submit their forms and payments before the December 3 deadline.

In related news, the government has announced a reduction in Hajj airfare for 2025, lowering ticket prices by Rs 14,000. Pilgrims enrolled in the federal program will now pay Rs 220,000 for their tickets, down from Rs 234,000 last year. This price cut was made possible through agreements with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, and private carriers, providing financial relief to pilgrims.
