David Warner Enjoys Long-Awaited Golf Session in Lahore

David Warner Enjoys Golf in Lahore Ahead of PSL X Play-Off Clash

As the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) play-offs draw near, Karachi Kings captain David Warner finally got the chance to unwind with a round of golf in Lahore. His request to play at the Defence Raya Golf Resort, which had gained attention on social media, appears to have been granted thanks to local support.

Warner had earlier reached out via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), seeking help to arrange a session at the prestigious course. Fans responded enthusiastically, with many tagging fellow cricketer Babar Azam and suggesting ways to make it happen. Eventually, Warner’s persistence paid off.

He was joined on the green by Australian teammate and Karachi Kings batter Ben McDermott. A photo of the two enjoying their day out at the golf course quickly went viral, drawing positive reactions from fans.

The brief getaway follows a tough outing for Karachi Kings, who suffered a heavy loss against Islamabad United in their final group-stage match. Warner was the team’s top scorer in the match, contributing 43 runs off 28 balls.

Despite the defeat, Warner remained optimistic, encouraging his side to regroup and focus on the upcoming eliminator against Lahore Qalandars, scheduled for May 22 at Gaddafi Stadium. “We can let this one go and focus on winning the remaining three games to secure the silverware. We have a couple of days to regroup, and we must bounce back stronger,” he stated.

With some off-field relaxation under his belt, Warner will now turn his attention back to leading the Kings in their crucial knockout clash.
