Darren Gough, the former England fast bowler, has been appointed as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. The announcement was made on Wednesday in Lahore, marking an important development for the franchise as they prepare for the new season.
At 54, Gough returns to the Qalandars after a successful tenure, where he led the team to the finals of last year’s Global Super League. His extensive experience in international cricket, including holding the record for England’s most One Day International wickets, will be a valuable asset to the team. Gough has also served as England’s bowling consultant in 2020 and as Yorkshire’s Managing Director of Cricket.

Speaking on the appointment, Gough highlighted the PSL’s excellent platform and expressed confidence in the Qalandars’ talented roster. Team Director Sameen Rana praised Gough’s previous contributions, noting his deep understanding of the team’s culture.
The Lahore Qalandars are set to compete in the 2025 PSL season, facing off against five other franchises in Pakistan’s top T20 league.
