Court Directs Authorities to Block Aleema Khan’s CNIC and Passport

A significant development has emerged in the Sadiqabad protest case as the court has ordered authorities to block the national identity card of Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The directive was issued during the latest hearing conducted by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

Judicial sources revealed that the chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has been instructed to prepare and submit a complete compliance report to the court on October 30. In its previous order, the court had already approved the blocking of Aleema Khan’s CNIC along with her passport to restrict any possibility of foreign travel.

Additionally, the court has directed the State Bank of Pakistan to provide a report on the status of her bank accounts, which have been ordered to be frozen as part of the ongoing legal proceedings. The case is linked to allegations arising from protests held in the Sadiqabad area.

On October 30, the court will also record the statements of five prosecution witnesses, further advancing the trial. Moreover, the bench has instructed law enforcement agencies to arrest Aleema Khan and produce her before the court. It was noted that she is already facing six arrest warrants issued in the same case, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter.
