Arrest Warrants Issued for PTI Leader Omer Ayub Khan by Anti-Terrorism Court
Sargodha: A special anti-terrorism court has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Omer Ayub Khan after he failed to appear for the third consecutive hearing.
The case pertains to allegations of riot and vandalism during incidents in Mianwali on May 9, 2023.

During the session, several notable PTI members, including Punjab Assembly opposition leader Ahmed Khan Bachhar, Sanam Javed, Alia Hamza, MNA Bilal Ijaz, and numerous party workers, were present in court. However, over 25 suspects, including a former union council chairman, were declared absconders due to their failure to appear.
The court directed all suspects to appear for the next hearing on January 30 and ordered those present to submit bonds. Omer Ayub Khan’s repeated absence has stalled the indictment process for all suspects involved in the case.
This development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing legal challenges faced by PTI leaders amid heightened political tensions.
