Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir hosted a reception on Pakistan’s Independence Day to honor the country’s army veterans, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The event brought together numerous retired officers and soldiers, celebrating their significant contributions to the nation.

During the reception, General Munir praised the dedication of the retired personnel and highlighted their important role in shaping Pakistan’s history. He emphasized the need for unity and resilience in overcoming challenges, encouraging the veterans to remain active contributors to the country’s progress and development.
The Army Chief also addressed the rising threat of fake news and propaganda, stating that hostile elements are attempting to undermine the relationship between the people of Pakistan and the Armed Forces. He reassured attendees that, with the steadfast support of the nation and its veterans, these efforts would ultimately be ineffective.
In response, the veterans expressed their trust in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and pledged their continued support in addressing both internal and external security challenges.
