Maryam Nawaz Launches Honhaar Scholarship and CM Laptop Schemes
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially inaugurated the Honhaar Scholarship Programme and CM Laptop Scheme at a ceremony held at Government College University Faisalabad. These initiatives aim to provide financial assistance and technological tools to deserving students across the province.
Honhaar Scholarship Programme
During the event, cheques worth Rs. 201.19 million were distributed among 4,690 students from the Faisalabad division. The scholarships target students from both public and private universities as well as colleges.

Key details of the scholarship distribution:
- Public universities: 3,211 students to receive Rs. 176.27 million.
- Private universities: 101 students to benefit from Rs. 2.8 million.
- Public colleges: 1,378 students awarded Rs. 22 million.
Prominent educational institutions included in the programme are:
- Government College University Faisalabad
- University of Agriculture
- Government College Women University
- University of Jhang
- Faisalabad Medical University
CM Laptop Scheme
Maryam Nawaz also launched the latest laptop model under the CM Laptop Scheme, which plans to distribute 40,000 laptops to students across Punjab. The initiative focuses on rewarding academic excellence and fostering digital literacy among youth.
She announced a special reward for students scoring above 65%, promising laptops to help them excel in their academic endeavors.
These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to empowering students through financial support and access to modern technology, ensuring they are better equipped for academic and professional success.
