Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a monthly stipend for 65,000 mosque imams across the province.
Chairing a high-level law and order meeting in Lahore, she directed officials to ensure swift public service delivery and warned that negligence would not be tolerated.
Earlier, during a special session on E-Business initiatives, CM Maryam received a detailed briefing and expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress. She set a two-week deadline for its implementation, instructing that all departmental NOCs be issued under one platform to simplify the process.
To ensure timely execution, she ordered weekly reviews of pending applications and the formation of a dedicated cell in the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The chief minister said she would personally chair review meetings every 15 days to monitor progress.
Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her commitment to ending bureaucratic hurdles, stating that the E-Business project could bring rapid transformation and restore public trust. She emphasized that Pakistan holds immense potential and that initiatives like E-Business could boost transparency, accessibility, and economic growth across the province
