CM Maryam Introduces Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship for Students

Registration for the Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship program started across the province on Monday.

This initiative will grant scholarships to 30,000 students annually from 68 different disciplines. The scholarships will be distributed among students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges.

Over the next four years, 130 billion rupees will be allocated to support 120,000 students through this program.

In July, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the program and ordered an increase in the number of scholarships.

During a meeting with the Higher Education Department, the Chief Minister announced that the scholarships would fully cover tuition fees for BS students in public universities and eight selected private institutions.
