CM Gandapur Opposes Forced Expulsion of Afghan Immigrants from Pakistan

KP CM Gandapur Refuses Forced Expulsion of Afghan Immigrants, Demands NFC Award by April

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Friday announced that his government will not forcibly expel Afghan immigrants residing in the province.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, CM Gandapur stated, “We will not deport Afghan immigrants unless the Afghan government is prepared to accept them.” He emphasized that the KP police would not evict anyone from their homes against their will.

Highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement, Gandapur remarked, “Peace in the region is not possible without dialogue with Afghanistan.”

Addressing concerns over provincial rights, he issued a warning to the federal government: “We will take to the streets if the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award is not announced by April.
