A protest calling for the release of Pakistani neuroscientist Dr. Aafia Siddiqui took place outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday.
The demonstration, organized by the “Aafia Movement,” saw participants advocating for Siddiqui’s immediate release. Protesters held placards and banners, chanting slogans in support of her freedom.

It was reported on Saturday that Siddiqui had appealed to outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden for a presidential pardon before Donald Trump’s inauguration. Her request, made through her lawyer Clive Stafford, included a 76,500-word dossier that Siddiqui’s legal team claimed could help prove her innocence.
