China’s Foreign Ministry emphasized its dedication to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation in its relationship with the U.S. A spokesperson stated that China is prepared to engage in dialogue and manage differences with the incoming U.S. government.

Beijing also expressed its desire for a stable and sustainable relationship with the U.S., aiming to foster healthy cooperation.

During his first term, Trump led a tough trade war against China, imposing heavy tariffs and now threatens stricter actions, accusing Beijing of unfair trade practices and contributing to the U.S. fentanyl crisis.
