Child With Cancer Dies After Ganga Immersion

In a distressing turn of events, a seven-year-old boy named Ravi, who was grappling with blood cancer, tragically lost his life after being compelled to submerge himself in the Ganga River for approximately five minutes by his aunt. This heart-wrenching incident took place at the Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, where the family, in a desperate bid for a miraculous cure, subjected the child to this ordeal.

Despite the child’s evident distress and suffocation during the repeated immersions, the aunt persisted with the ritual, disregarding pleas from onlookers who attempted to intervene. Meanwhile, Ravi’s parents continued chanting mantras, seemingly convinced of the ritual’s potential healing power.

In the aftermath of this devastating incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the local police station, Bhavna Kainthola, revealed that Ravi’s parents and aunt were detained for questioning. Hailing from Delhi, the family’s actions have sparked an official investigation into the matter.
