Babar Azam played 52 dot balls, while Fakhar Zaman remained scoreless for 30 deliveries. Saud Shakeel faced 15 dot balls, and captain Mohammad Rizwan played 11 dot balls.
In total, Pakistan played 162 dot balls out of the 284 deliveries faced, highlighting their struggles at the crease.
It is worth noting that New Zealand dampened Pakistan’s historic moment of hosting the Champions Trophy by securing a comprehensive 60-run victory in the opening match.
