The chief executive officer of KIPS Education System, Abid Wazir Khan, was reportedly abducted in Lahore’s Johar Town area on Thursday evening. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
The complaint was filed by his brother, Tahir Wazir Khan, who is the director of finance at the KIPS corporate office. He said Abid Khan left his office around 6:00 pm and was driving when the incident occurred.
During the drive, Abid Khan made a phone call to a staff member. The staff member reportedly heard a commotion, including someone banging on the car window and shouting that Abid Khan had hit their vehicle. The call ended abruptly, and Abid Khan’s mobile phone was switched off shortly afterward.
Tahir Wazir Khan expressed serious concern for his brother’s safety. He said that Abid Khan may have been abducted by unknown individuals and warned that his life could be at risk.
Police have confirmed they are actively investigating the incident. Officers are working to trace Abid Wazir Khan’s whereabouts and have asked anyone with information to come forward. CCTV footage and mobile signal tracking are being examined as part of the investigation.
KIPS Education System has not yet released an official statement regarding the alleged abduction. Staff and local residents have expressed shock and concern over the safety of the CEO. Authorities have also increased patrolling in the Johar Town area to prevent further incidents.
The case has drawn attention to security concerns in Lahore, particularly around commercial and educational areas. Officials have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure Abid Khan’s safe return.
