Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, said on Wednesday that the centre is addressing the financial needs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s merged districts.
He stated that the federal government has been proactive in providing funds to support development, education, health, and infrastructure projects in the merged districts. Chaudhry emphasized that meeting the financial needs of these areas is essential for balanced growth and integration with the rest of KP.
Chaudhry also criticized the opposition alliance, saying they have not presented the full truth about the NFC Award. He urged opposition parties to stop making misleading statements for political gain, warning that such tactics create confusion among the public.
The minister called on the KP government to publish details of completed developmental projects. He stressed the importance of transparency to ensure the allocated funds are used effectively for the benefit of residents. Chaudhry highlighted that fulfilling the financial needs of KP’s merged districts is part of a long-term strategy to improve living standards and boost socio-economic development.
Officials noted that the federal government has allocated funds for key sectors, including education, healthcare, and local infrastructure, aiming to provide basic services to underserved communities. These initiatives are intended to reduce regional disparities and promote sustainable development in the merged districts.
Chaudhry added that the federal government’s commitment reflects its dedication to supporting KP’s merged districts and ensuring that all residents benefit from national development programs.
