The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved seven development projects with a total worth of Rs. 559.766 billion during its meeting chaired by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal. The meeting also included key officials such as Secretary Planning Awais Manzur Sumra and other members from the Planning Commission and respective federal and provincial ministries.

Project Breakdown:
- Approved Projects (Rs. 8.23 billion):
- Three projects have been approved, including:
- Improvement of Maternal and Child Health Equipment in flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa worth Rs. 3.15 billion.
- Balochistan Youth Internship Program under the Post-Flood 2022 Reconstruction Program, with an allocation of Rs. 1.82 billion.
- Establishment of the Institute of Petroleum Technology, worth Rs. 3.27 billion.
- Projects Recommended to ECNEC (Rs. 551.536 billion):
- Prime Minister’s Programme for the Elimination of Hepatitis C Infection (Rs. 67.77 billion): Aimed at screening, testing, and treating 50% of eligible individuals for Hepatitis C, with a federal-provincial funding share.
- Prime Minister’s Program for Prevention and Control of Diabetes Mellitus (Rs. 6.8 billion): Focused on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes, with expanded awareness campaigns targeting non-communicable diseases.
- Flood Response Emergency Housing Project Phase-I (2nd Revision) (Rs. 447 billion): Proposed to be financed by the World Bank.
- CAREC Corridor Development Investment Program (Rs. 29.97 billion): A transportation project involving road rehabilitation, proposed to be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Sindh Government, and the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
These projects span sectors including health, manpower, science and technology, housing, and transport, marking a significant step towards improving infrastructure and public health in the country.
