CDF Asim Munir Emphasizes Defence, Unity, and Islamic Values (1)

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed the National Ulema-Mashaaikh Conference on Wednesday, emphasizing that respect and strength are earned through effort and knowledge, not through division.

During his speech, Asim Munir highlighted the strong connection between a Model Islamic State and Pakistan. He said the country’s defence partnership is historic and underlines the nation’s strategic importance in the Muslim world. He also praised Pakistan for being honoured as the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques, a significant recognition among all Muslim nations.

Field Marshal Munir warned that abandoning knowledge and education can lead to discord and strife. He stressed that terrorism is not Pakistan’s disposition but is propagated by India. “We do not strike enemies from hiding but confront them openly,” said Asim Munir, highlighting Pakistan’s transparent defence stance.

He explained that in an Islamic state, only the state can declare a call to jihad, emphasizing proper governance and law. Reflecting on Pakistan’s recent successes, Asim Munir stated that victory in the so-called Battle of Truth was achieved with the help of Allah Almighty.

The CDF urged scholars to promote national unity and broaden the nation’s perspective. He emphasized that a united society, coupled with knowledge and effort, is crucial for Pakistan’s progress, stability, and international respect.

Field Marshal Asim Munir’s remarks underline the importance of a strong defence, informed citizenry, and collaboration with religious scholars. He called for continuous education and awareness to strengthen Pakistan’s social, political, and spiritual foundations.
