CDA Eyes New Administrative Hub in Islamabad—Details Inside

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to construct a new Capitol House in Islamabad. The facility will be designed following the model of existing provincial houses in the federal capital.

According to sources, the project is currently in the design phase. Progress will depend on the completion of formal approvals and allocation of funds. The CDA is expected to move forward with the project once these steps are completed.

The proposed Capitol House will be similar to established official residences such as Punjab House, Sindh House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Balochistan House, Kashmir House, and Gilgit House. The facility will provide official accommodation and administrative space for the capital administration.

Officials stated that the Capitol House will improve coordination among government departments and streamline administrative operations. The project is part of CDA’s broader plan to strengthen infrastructure in the federal capital and ensure efficient governance.

Once the design phase is complete, the CDA will seek formal approvals and funding. Construction is expected to take approximately one year, subject to timely completion of procedural requirements.

Experts say the new Capitol House will not only provide office and residential space but also enhance the overall efficiency of government operations in Islamabad. With this initiative, the CDA aims to modernize administrative facilities and offer a dedicated space for the capital’s governance.
