Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has ordered a strict crackdown on the public display of weapons and the growing “Dala Culture,” which he said fosters fear and lawlessness in the city.
While presiding over a meeting reviewing the monthly performance of the Civil Lines and Model Town police divisions, the CCPO instructed DIG (Operations) to conduct targeted operations against individuals carrying illegal arms or using weapons to intimidate others.
Kamyana also called for an intensified campaign against drug networks, urging officials to identify and dismantle supply chains fueling local narcotics cases. “Drug traffickers must face zero tolerance — tracing their sources is key to lasting success,” he emphasized.
He further directed police staff to enhance public service at front desks, ensuring that complaints are addressed swiftly and transparently. “Officers must stay in direct contact with complainants to ensure fair and timely justice,” Kamyana said.
To combat street crime, he ordered increased patrolling in high-risk areas and instructed the use of the Hotel Eye surveillance system to monitor suspicious activity.
The CCPO reiterated that maintaining peace and order in Lahore requires consistent action against armed intimidation, drug trade, and negligence in police service.
