Cartoon Network's website shuts down as Warner Bros

CartoonNetwork.com has been shut down by Warner Bros. Discovery and now redirects visitors to the Max streaming service. The site, which once provided free clips and episodes of Cartoon Network shows, now only displays content available on Max, which requires a subscription. While the website is closed, Cartoon Network’s TV programming will continue as usual. A spokesperson noted that the focus is shifting to the network’s shows and social media platforms, which are seen as having greater engagement and growth potential.

Although the main CartoonNetwork.com site has been removed, some international versions are still active, but their future is uncertain. This closure is part of a broader restructuring at Warner Bros. Discovery, which includes the end of the Boomerang service on September 30 and other recent cancellations. Additionally, Warner Bros. Games is implementing cost-cutting measures, which may include licensing out major franchises like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Batman, following a reported $10 billion net loss.
