[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar mentioned that no decision regarding Zaka Ashraf’s status as the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee will be made until after the conclusion of the World Cup. In an interview with ‘Dawn News,’ Kakar responded to questions about Ashraf’s alleged involvement in a scandal and the potential removal from his position as PCB chairman.

Kakar expressed his intention to collaborate with Ashraf based on the “doctrine of necessity.” He indicated that no significant decisions would be made at this time, as changing the PCB leadership during the World Cup could negatively impact the morale of the national team.

These remarks come amid speculations that Zaka Ashraf, whose four-month term at the PCB is set to end on November 5, may not be granted an extension.

Kakar also expressed optimism about the Pakistani cricket team’s chances in the major tournament, believing that they still have an opportunity to reach the semifinals. Despite losing their last four World Cup games, Pakistan remains in contention for a spot in the semifinals.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
