A Pakistani man living in Canada allegedly orchestrated his brother’s killing, along with two others, during Tarweeh prayers over a property dispute in Narowal, Punjab.
The attack occurred within the jurisdiction of City Police Station, where an unknown assailant opened fire during prayers at Inamullah Butt’s Haveli.

Three individuals—Imran Butt, Shahid Butt, and Punjab Police Special Branch officer Zafar Iqbal—were killed, while another, Shehbaz, sustained gunshot wounds and was hospitalized.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim’s brother, Zaman, residing in Canada, hired shooters for the attack. The suspected gunman is reportedly from Waziristan.
Regional Police Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema stated that Imran and Zaman were embroiled in a dispute over a wagon stand. He disclosed that eight cases were registered against Imran and nine against Zaman.
Authorities have sealed the disputed stand and taken preventive measures against both factions.
Three police teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects, with arrests expected soon.
Meanwhile, Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice, directing RPO Gujranwala to submit a report and ensure the immediate arrest of those responsible.
