Cricket Australia expects PCB to grant NOCs for Pakistani players in BBL 202

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg voiced optimism that Pakistani cricketers will be able to participate in this year’s Big Bash League (BBL).

Addressing the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) move to delay No Objection Certificates (NOCs), Greenberg said he has already held discussions with PCB officials and remains hopeful of a positive outcome. He added that Cricket Australia has been in touch with the PCB over the past few days and is confident a resolution will be reached.

“This season of the BBL will be an exciting one,” he remarked, expressing eagerness to see Pakistani players back in action and highlighting the value they bring to the tournament.

Recently, PCB paused the issuance of NOCs for foreign leagues, stating that only players meeting performance standards in international and domestic cricket would be cleared.

Seven Pakistani stars, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan, are part of the BBL roster, with the tournament set to kick off in December.
