The Tesla competitor is making its debut in Pakistan! Chinese electric vehicle (EV) leader BYD is set to officially launch its brand in Pakistan on August 17th, 2024. This announcement has created significant excitement among electric vehicle enthusiasts.

BYD has teamed up with Mega Motor Company (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), to make this entry possible. As part of its launch preparations, BYD has imported test units of the SeaLion 6, a plug-in hybrid SUV, indicating that it is gearing up to introduce this model to Pakistani consumers.

BYD’s plans for Pakistan are ambitious, focusing on offering a variety of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
