According to the ACE, the accused accepted bribes worth millions of rupees in exchange for high-ranking jobs and transfers in various government offices. Farah Gogi is accused of collecting bribes and depositing them in various banks.

According to ACE’s FIR, approximately Rs450 million has been collected thus far.

According to the FIR, the accused abused their authority to appoint and transfer individuals to high-ranking positions inside the administration.

The case has named Maneka, Buzdar, Gogi, senior bureaucrat Tahir Khurshid, Ahmed Aziz Tarar, Saleha Saeed, Usman Muazzam, and Sohail Khwaja. Buzdar, like other PTI stalwarts such as Shireen Mazari and Ali Haider Zaidi, reportedly declared earlier this week that he is leaving the PTI and politics in the aftermath of May 9.

Buzdar decried the vandalism seen on May 9 – when irate protestors attacked civic and military installations – and reiterated that he has always stood with the Pakistan Army and will continue to do so.

The controversial former Punjab chief minister reiterated that he has always believed in virtue politics and urged all stakeholders to put aside their differences and work together for the sake of the country.

Several more PTI leaders have resigned from the struggling party, abandoned it, or withdrawn from politics entirely in the last month.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
