Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been granted interim bail in 32 cases by an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi. The court granted her relief on Saturday after she appeared before the judge, who ordered that she be exempt from arrest until January 13, 2025. Bushra Bibi is facing charges related to protests that occurred between November 24 and November 27, 2023.
Her legal counsel, Muhammad Faisal Malik, had filed bail petitions in all 32 cases, leading to the court’s favorable decision. The court also directed the investigating officers to provide the relevant case records. A special permission was granted for her vehicle to enter the court premises, where several prominent PTI leaders, including Simabiah Tahir, showed their support.
