Share

Burger King has sparked excitement in Thailand with its latest offering, a meatless burger packed with an abundant amount of cheese.

The Thai branch of the fast-food chain introduced the “real cheeseburger,” featuring up to 20 slices of American cheese stuffed inside the bun.

Priced at a reduced rate of 109 Thai baht ($3.1), compared to the usual price of 380 baht ($10.9), the burger quickly went viral on social media in Thailand.

Many users on TikTok shared videos of themselves trying the cheesy sandwich. While some customers enjoyed the indulgent treat, others found it overwhelming, describing it as an excessive amount of cheese. The menu addition demonstrates Burger King’s strategy of offering unique and attention-grabbing items to generate social media buzz.

In Thailand, where cheese is popular among young customers, the chain also tailors its menu to local tastes, including options like salmon katsu burgers to cater to healthier alternatives. The Thai franchise is owned by Minor International, a prominent hospitality group in Asia.
