At least three foreign nationals were killed and 17 others injured in an explosion near Karachi airport on Sunday night, with at least ten vehicles catching fire, according to officials.
CID Director General Asif Ejaz Shaikh told Dawn TV that the exact cause of the explosion was still unclear. However, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar informed Geo News that a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) caused the blast, injuring one foreigner.

Rescue-1122 official Hassaan Khan confirmed that one body and several injured had been taken to the hospital, with ten vehicles damaged and four cars destroyed by the fire. Police surgeon Dr. Summaiya stated that ten injured, including a critically injured person, were brought to JPMC, among them a police constable and a woman.
The area around the airport has been cordoned off, and law enforcement agencies have closed all entry and exit points. Authorities have not yet provided details on flight operations.
