[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari unveiled the ‘Share Pakistan Portal’ on Wednesday, a digital repository for improved targeted communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its over 100 diplomatic missions throughout the world.
The foreign minister stated during the inauguration event, held in partnership with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), that the online standardised information system would collect and disseminate the impact of public diplomacy initiatives undertaken in pursuit of Pakistani foreign policy objectives.
Bilawal stated that the ‘Foreign Minister’s Change Management Initiative’ was launched as part of his commitment to enhance the ministry’s ability to effectively deliver on its responsibilities through management changes.
To achieve this, he said, a team of experts from the MoFA and missions abroad brainstormed a number of reforms in areas as diverse as human resources, finance, logistics, communication, counsellor, protocol, and community services for digitalization and simplification of rules, policies, and procedures.

He stated that his ‘Change Management Initiative’ would attempt to create a work culture that is more focused on results and increased productivity, value innovation, and move decision-making closer to the point of delivery.
The foreign minister stated that the complete report on the ‘Change Management Initiative’ would further address and restructure the diplomatic service, making it better ready to adapt to the modern world’s new realities and difficulties.
According to Bilawal, the ‘Change Management Initiative’ will promote seamless communication between the ministry and the country’s diplomatic posts around the world.
He went on to say that the platform was created to streamline communication and information sharing in the public diplomacy sector between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic postings across the world.
According to him, the platform will increase efficiency and openness in numerous public diplomacy projects.
The paperless digital tool, according to the foreign minister, was the first portal launch addressing the integration of digital technology in both public diplomacy strategic outreach initiatives and institutions.
“It will be used in diplomacy for outreach decision support, drafting strategic communication, translating foreign policy, and analysis of latest trends,” he said.
Bilawal expressed optimism that the digital tool would serve as a model for future projects aimed at improving the ministry’s and its missions’ communication.
He believed that the portal would be the first step towards simplifying communication methods and IT-based solutions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ engagement with other government agencies, as well as facilitating inter-departmental cooperation.
He expressed gratitude to NITB and the Ministry of Information Technology for collaborating with Mofa in building the portal to increase the exposure of public diplomacy efforts and achieve targeted foreign policy goals.
He also commended the Office of the Spokesperson and the Strategic Commutations team on the portal’s effective launch.
