Bilawal Urges PML-N Leaders To Contest Elections From Sindh

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday urged leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to contest the upcoming elections from Sindh. He expressed interest in seeing whether Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz would also choose to contest in the province. “I would like to see the conduct of referendums ahead of the elections,” Bilawal added.

Reflecting on national security, Bilawal mentioned the Pakistan-India war, noting that Pakistan had clearly signaled to the world that anyone attempting to harm the country would face consequences. He also highlighted ongoing security threats, stating that terrorists often enter Pakistan from Afghanistan, carry out attacks, and then return.

Bilawal acknowledged the crucial role of the Pakistan Army in coping with both external threats and internal challenges. He emphasized his support for the armed forces and criticized political opponents for attacking national institutions through social media. “I stand with my country and army,” he said, urging political parties to operate strictly within constitutional limits.

He also criticized one opposing party, claiming it was attempting to create a rift between the public and the armed forces. Bilawal warned political forces against spreading unrest and stressed the importance of national stability and unity.

Bilawal’s statements reflect his call for responsible political conduct and highlight his support for democratic processes while maintaining a strong stance on national security. His comments also underline the need for political parties to engage in activities that prioritize the country’s peace and stability.
