Quetta – In a landmark achievement, the Balochistan government unveiled its first-ever surplus budget of Rs1,028 billion for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget was presented by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shuaib Noshirovani during a session of the Balochistan Assembly, presided over by Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.
Minister Noshirovani highlighted that the provincial government had fully utilized its development budget for the current fiscal year, showcasing significant progress across multiple sectors. He emphasized that the new budget, which includes a surplus of Rs42 billion, reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable development and fiscal discipline.

Earlier this month, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that the budget would prioritize health and education, with no room for politically motivated projects. He stressed that development funds would be allocated transparently, focusing on underprivileged areas to ensure equitable growth.
Provincial spokesperson Shahid Rind reiterated that the budget aims to drive economic and social progress, particularly in marginalized regions, reinforcing the government’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous Balochistan.
