Balochistan Launches Electric Scooter Scheme on Easy Installments, See The Prices

The Government of Balochistan has partnered with the National Bank of Pakistan to launch a subsidized electric scooter scheme for citizens.

Under the initiative, electric scooters will be provided on easy installment plans for students, working women, and the general public.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta during a formal ceremony attended by senior officials.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the project aims to provide safe, affordable, and reliable transport options for daily commuting needs.

He said students and working women often face serious transport challenges, and this scheme will help reduce their mobility problems.

The chief minister added that electric scooters will also lower fuel costs and promote environmentally friendly travel across urban areas.

Provincial Minister Mir Sadiq Umrani and representatives of the National Bank of Pakistan were also present at the signing ceremony.

Officials said the bank will manage financing and installment plans, making it easier for people to access modern transport facilities.

Bugti said the project reflects the provincial government’s commitment to public welfare and practical solutions for everyday issues.

He added that such initiatives support youth empowerment, women’s independence, and inclusive economic growth in Balochistan.

The chief minister said the government is focused on launching people-friendly projects that directly improve quality of life.

He stressed that sustainable transport solutions are essential for long-term social, economic, and environmental progress in the province.
