Babar Azam’s father, Azam Siddiqui, announced his son’s departure for the non-mandatory lesser pilgrimage made by Muslims to Mecca in a heartfelt tweet.
“This photo was taken with love for the fans before leaving for Umrah,” Siddiqui wrote.

Last year, Babar posted a photo on his social media account while in the holy city of Madina, dressed in traditional Arabic attire.
Babar was rested after the recent Afghanistan series, which Pakistan lost 1-2. Babar is expected to return to lead the T20I and ODI squads against New Zealand in April.
