Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has made history once again by matching the national record for most ODI centuries.
He hit this milestone in the second ODI against Sri Lanka with a brilliant hundred.
With this knock, the former captain equaled legendary opener Saeed Anwar’s record of 20 ODI centuries. While Anwar reached the mark in 244 innings, Babar achieved it in just 136—showcasing his extraordinary consistency and class.
Babar is now the third-fastest player globally to reach 20 ODI centuries. South Africa’s Hashim Amla leads with 108 innings, followed by India’s Virat Kohli with 133.
This hundred also holds emotional value for fans, marking Babar’s first international century after 2 years, 2 months, and 15 days. His return to form has reignited excitement and hopes for Pakistan’s batting future.
Experts say that even with recent struggles, Babar is on track to break more records—both in Pakistan and worldwide.
