Babar Azam Makes History as Fastest to 11,000 T20 Runs
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has etched his name in cricketing history by becoming the fastest batter to score 11,000 runs in T20 cricket. He achieved this remarkable milestone in just 298 innings, surpassing the previous record held by West Indies’ Chris Gayle, who reached the same figure in 314 innings.
Babar reached the 11,000-run mark during a T20 match against South Africa, securing the milestone with his 11th run of the innings. With this achievement, Babar becomes the first cricketer to reach 11,000 T20 runs in fewer than 300 innings.

The prolific batter has already set numerous T20 records, including the fastest to 7,000, 9,000, 10,000, and now 11,000 runs. His consistency and dominance in the format have firmly established him as one of the game’s top performers.
Babar now joins an elite group of players as the second Pakistani and the 11th player overall to surpass the 11,000-run mark in T20 cricket, alongside stars like Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, Virat Kohli, and Jos Buttler.
In addition to his T20 achievement, Babar recently crossed 14,000 international runs, becoming the fifth Pakistani to do so. His exceptional journey continues to inspire cricket fans worldwide.
