Babar Azam Becomes First Batter to Reach 4,000 PSL Runs

Babar Azam created history in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he became the first batter to cross the 4,000-run milestone. The achievement came during Peshawar Zalmi’s clash against Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Leading his side from the front, Babar delivered a steady knock of 43 runs off 40 balls, including three boundaries and a six. With this performance, he reached the historic mark in his 105th PSL appearance, further cementing his reputation as one of the most consistent performers in the league.

Babar Azam’s PSL career has been marked by remarkable consistency and reliability. He has maintained an impressive strike rate of 127.92 while accumulating runs across multiple seasons. His record also features 37 half-centuries and two centuries, underlining his ability to deliver match-winning contributions on a regular basis.

In comparison, Fakhar Zaman stands as the second-highest run-scorer in PSL history but remains significantly behind Babar. Fakhar has scored 3,018 runs in 99 matches at a higher strike rate of 141.82, including 24 fifties and two centuries.

Other prominent names on the PSL’s all-time leading run-scorers list include Mohammad Rizwan, Rilee Rossouw, and Shoaib Malik, all of whom have made significant contributions to the league over the years.

With this milestone, Babar Azam has once again highlighted his dominance in the PSL, setting a new benchmark for future players. His achievement not only reflects his personal excellence but also reinforces his status as one of the finest batters in Pakistan’s T20 circuit.
