Pakistani cricket veteran Azhar Ali has officially parted ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following a mutual agreement between the two parties.
Azhar, known for his dependable batting and leadership in Tests, has been a key figure in Pakistan cricket for over a decade.
Officials confirmed that the separation is amicable, with both sides expressing gratitude for Azhar’s contributions on and off the field.
The PCB highlighted his role in mentoring younger players and shaping Pakistan’s batting lineup during his tenure as captain.
Azhar himself thanked the board, teammates, and fans, noting that he looks forward to new opportunities in cricket, including coaching and commentary roles.
The cricketing community has widely praised his career, calling him one of Pakistan’s finest batsmen in modern history.
