The collaborative effort between the Pakistan Army and Civil Administration brought the Jashan-e-Baharan Sports Festival to a close in Arang Kel, a popular tourist destination in Azad Kashmir. Running from May 30 to June 2, the lively event attracted locals and tourists from across Pakistan.
Featuring a range of sports such as tug-of-war, archery, paintball, and photography competitions, along with cricket tournaments and polo matches, the festival offered excitement to athletes from all over Azad Kashmir.

At the closing ceremony, graced by Brigade Commander Kel as the Chief Guest, attendees included officials from the Government of Azad Kashmir, civil and military representatives, and numerous tourists. The festivities kicked off with a Quran recitation followed by performances by children from the Army Public School, Kel, showcasing national songs and cultural displays.
Singers entertained the audience with traditional Kashmiri and Pashto melodies. Exceptional athletes received recognition through medals, honorary shields, certificates, and cash prizes.
In his speech, the chief guest commended the organizers for their dedication in making the festival a triumph, underscoring the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting the local community and boosting tourism in Azad Kashmir. He emphasized Arang Kel’s potential as a tourism and sports hub, advocating for public-private partnerships to enhance facilities and create employment opportunities for locals.
