Imran Khan’s Nephew Shahrez Gets Bail in Jinnah House Case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore has granted bail to PTI founder Imran Khan’s nephew and Aleema Khan’s son, Shahrez Khan, in the Jinnah House attack case.

ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gill announced the ruling on Shahrez’s post-arrest bail plea, which had been reserved earlier. The court accepted the plea and ordered his release.

Shahrez’s lawyer, Rana Mudassir Umar, argued that no evidence linked his client to the case, as geo-fencing, police records, and investigation reports did not mention him. He added that Shahrez was not part of the investigation for over 28 months and that his arrest was politically motivated to pressurize Aleema Khan, who has been campaigning for her brother Imran Khan’s release.

The defense also claimed Shahrez was in Chitral during the May 9 events, with witnesses supporting his alibi. They highlighted that Shahrez is an Oxford student, a sportsman, and was preparing for an international event at the time.

Earlier, Aleema Khan had alleged that her son was abducted by armed men, but police confirmed his arrest in connection with the May 9 cases.

Two weeks back, it was reported that Aleema Khan’s Second Son Shershah Arrested In 9 May Case
