The PTI chief had filed bail petitions in three FIRs registered with the Race Course police station on various charges, including an alleged attack on police officials and setting fire to state property in the Zaman Park area.

Previously, the court granted Imran bail until April 4 (today) and barred the police from arresting him. The hearing resumed today in the absence of Imran.

The application was heard by the court’s duty judge, and Imran’s counsel informed the court that Imran faces very serious security threats.

When the court asked if Imran would be informed that he would have to appear, his lawyer argued that two prime ministers had been assassinated in Pakistan’s history. He asked the court to give Imran until 1:30 p.m. to appear in court.

However, the court ordered Imran to appear by 11 a.m., stating that a decision will be made in accordance with the law even if the PTI chief fails to appear. The court stated that relief would only be granted to those who appeared in court.

The ATC, on the other hand, denied PTI leader Hamad Azhar’s interim bail application due to noncompliance.

The court also denied Fawad Chaudhry’s interim bail in the case of arson, violence against police, and interference in government functions due to noncompliance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
