A tragic cargo plane crash near Louisville, Kentucky, has left at least seven people dead, including crew members and civilians. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
The aircraft, reportedly a UPS cargo jet, caught fire mid-air before crashing into a nearby industrial area. The explosion caused massive flames and thick black smoke visible across the city.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene, where several buildings caught fire due to the impact. Local hospitals confirmed multiple injuries, with some victims in critical condition.
Authorities immediately closed the airport for safety and investigation purposes. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and FAA are working together to determine the cause of the crash.
Witnesses described hearing a loud boom followed by debris scattering across a wide radius. Residents nearby were evacuated as a precaution due to hazardous fumes.
