Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport witnessed a significant drug bust when the Airport Security Force (ASF) intercepted a smuggling attempt during routine checks. Officials recovered 980 grams of ice heroin hidden in the luggage of a passenger bound for Doha. The suspect, Muhammad Wali, had cleverly concealed the drugs in his bag, but vigilant ASF officers detected the contraband, which is valued at over Rs 10 million on the street.

After the seizure, both the suspect and the narcotics were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further legal action. In response, authorities have increased surveillance at the airport to prevent future smuggling and ensure passenger safety.
