In a late-night robbery, armed robbers looted more than Rs11.5 million from the staff of the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area. The robbery occurred at the bus service’s last stop, where the staff, including driver Sher Jan, were resting. Six armed assailants arrived in a vehicle, with four entering the premises while two stayed in the car. One of the robbers wore a mask.
The robbers forced the staff into a bus, holding them at gunpoint. They demanded cash and also took a security guard’s weapon and mobile phone before fleeing. The staff included a cashier and transport officer, who were seated inside the bus during the heist. The incident has raised significant concerns about the security at public transport hubs, especially during late hours.

The incident has alarmed transport workers, prompting calls for stronger security measures at bus terminals.
This robbery follows a recent armed attack in Karachi’s Landhi area, where robbers looted citizens at a milk shop. CCTV footage from the Landhi incident shows the robbers calmly holding up customers and stealing their valuables before escaping. Police are investigating both cases and working to identify and apprehend the culprits.
