Pakistan’s top military leaders have extended warm wishes to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day.
In their separate messages, the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force congratulated the people of Pakistan. They shared their respect for the country’s founders and honored the spirit of freedom.
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu sent messages on behalf of the Armed Forces.
They said Independence Day is a time to remember the efforts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices made for freedom. They praised the founding fathers for their vision, courage, and determination that led to the creation of Pakistan.
The military chiefs also paid tribute to the statesmen and soldiers who helped build the country. They said their contributions remain a source of pride for the nation.
They reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ strong commitment to protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty. They also pledged to uphold the Constitution and defend the values that shape Pakistan’s national identity.
The leaders said the Armed Forces will continue to play their role in ensuring peace, stability, and progress in the country.
As part of the day’s events, Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Fayaz Hussain Shah visited the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal. He laid a floral wreath and offered fateha, paying respects to the national poet and philosopher.
This Independence Day marks a moment to reflect on the past and renew the promise to build a stronger and united Pakistan.
