Pakistan’s Armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Top military leadership reaffirmed this commitment on Thursday during an official visit to Bahawalpur Garrison.
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, reviewed operational readiness during the visit. He received detailed briefings on key operational, training, and administrative matters. Officials focused on preparations for modern and multi-domain warfare.
The visit highlighted the Armed forces’ focus on adapting to evolving security challenges. Military officials shared updates on ongoing efforts to strengthen defensive and operational capabilities across different domains.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir observed a high-intensity field exercise named Steadfast Resolve. The exercise took place at Khairpur Tamewali. It demonstrated coordination among multiple combat units under realistic battlefield conditions.
The exercise showcased the use of advanced and emerging technologies. These included unmanned aerial systems, modern surveillance tools, and electronic warfare assets. Command-and-control systems also played a central role in the operation.
According to officials, these developments reflect the Armed forces’ shift toward technology-driven operations. The military is moving beyond traditional methods to meet modern security demands.
Addressing officers and soldiers, the army chief praised their morale and discipline. He commended their professional skills and operational readiness. He stressed the need to maintain high preparedness levels at all times.
Field Marshal Munir said the nature of warfare is changing rapidly. Technology now plays a decisive role in modern conflicts. Future battles will depend more on digital systems and precision tools.
He added that innovation and indigenization remain key priorities. The Armed forces are actively adopting modern solutions to strengthen national defense. Adaptation to new technologies is central to this transformation.
During the visit, the army chief also inaugurated the ROHI E-Skills Learning Hub. The initiative aims to promote digital education. It focuses on students from southern Punjab and other regions.

Later, Field Marshal Munir visited the EME Regional Workshop. Officials briefed him on maintenance systems for modern military platforms. These systems support long-term operational readiness through local solutions and advanced tools.
Upon arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, the Corps Commander welcomed the army chief. Field Marshal Munir laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. He offered Fateha honor the sacrifices of martyrs.
The visit reaffirmed the military leadership’s resolve to keep Pakistan secure. The message was clear and firm.
