Alvi criticized the longstanding lack of accountability in Pakistan, lamenting its neglect since the era of Ayub Khan. Expressing disillusionment with the current state of affairs, he admitted losing faith in the accountability process.

Regarding the cipher case, Alvi commended the Islamabad High Court’s recent ruling, considering it a just outcome. He reiterated the baselessness of the case and viewed the court’s decision as a move towards justice.
