Apple has officially launched the long-awaited iPad Air M3, bridging the gap following the iPad Pro M4’s release last year. With two display size options, this latest iPad Air starts at $599 for the 11-inch model and $799 for the 13-inch version. Pre-orders have already begun, and the device is set to ship on March 12.
What’s New in the iPad Air M3?
The iPad Air M3 features the M3 chip, delivering a significant boost in performance compared to its predecessor. Equipped with an 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU, the M3 offers up to 35% faster CPU performance and 40% better graphics, making it ideal for tasks like gaming, video editing, and multitasking.

The two display options include the 11-inch and 13-inch Liquid Retina displays, offering vibrant visuals, improved clarity, and up to 600 nits of brightness, perfect for creatives and media consumers alike.
Enhanced Apple Pencil Pro Compatibility
The iPad Air M3 supports the new Apple Pencil Pro, enhancing precision and control for creative tasks. Features like squeeze gestures, barrel rotation detection, and haptic feedback elevate the drawing experience, making it more intuitive and immersive for users.
Updated Magic Keyboard
Apple also introduced a revamped Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air M3. It features a 14-key function row for better control, a larger trackpad for smoother navigation, and magnetic attachment with adjustable viewing angles, improving overall productivity.
Is the iPad Air M3 Worth It?
Positioned between the base iPad and the iPad Pro, the iPad Air M3 provides excellent value for those looking for powerful performance without the higher price tag of the Pro model. Users will enjoy faster chip performance, a larger display option, and enhanced external display support. However, ProMotion, Face ID, and mini-LED are still exclusive to the iPad Pro.
For those needing basic productivity or media consumption, an older iPad Air may suffice. But if you’re after future-proofing, creative performance, or a larger screen at a reasonable price, the iPad Air M3 is a strong contender.
