Hollywood actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie is preparing to leave Los Angeles permanently. This marks a major shift in her life following years of legal proceedings with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie stayed in LA only because of a custody arrangement. Now that the divorce is finalized, she is planning a fresh start abroad. The couple officially ended their marriage in December 2024 after an eight-year legal battle.
Jolie, who is now 50 years old, shares six children with Pitt—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Insiders say she has already started looking at potential countries to relocate to. Her move is expected once her youngest children turn 18 next year.
“Angelina never wanted to live in Los Angeles full time,” a source told PEOPLE. “She’ll be happy when she can finally leave.”
Among the destinations under consideration is Cambodia. This country holds personal meaning for Angelina Jolie, as it is the birthplace of her eldest son, Maddox. She is said to be seeking a more private, peaceful lifestyle.
Since 2017, Jolie has lived in a historic mansion in Los Angeles. The home, purchased for $24.5 million, once belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille. Although the house offers comfort, Jolie has expressed her discomfort living in LA’s public eye.
Her planned move abroad symbolizes more than just a change in location. It reflects a desire for independence, privacy, and a slower pace of life.
Now that the custody battle is over, Angelina Jolie is ready to focus on her family and personal well-being—far from Hollywood’s spotlight and closer to the kind of life she has long wanted.
