Police Arrest Alleged Ringleader of Hypnotism Robbery Gang in Karachi
In a significant breakthrough, Karachi police have arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang that targeted housewives by allegedly hypnotizing them before committing thefts. The ringleader, identified as Sahiba Hina, was apprehended along with five suspected accomplices during a joint operation conducted by the investigation and operation branches of the Malir police.
The operation resulted in the recovery of valuables worth nearly Rs 1 million. The other arrested gang members have been identified as Babil Maqbool, Kaneez Fareed, Fatima Mehboob, Lubna, Shan, and Salma Abrar Hussain. This group had gained notoriety for their deceptive tactics, which involved hypnotizing women in their own homes.

According to SP Investigation Uzair Memon, cases have been registered against the arrested individuals at the Steel Town and Bin Qasim Town police stations. Two affected families have identified the suspects, and hundreds of thousands of rupees worth of stolen items were recovered during the operation.
The gang is reportedly linked to several cases registered in Lahore, Khairpur, Sukkur, and at Karachi Cantt railway stations. The suspects would typically gain access to homes under the guise of offering tuition or spiritual healing services to facilitate their crimes.
The police have stated that further raids are being conducted to apprehend additional members of the gang, indicating that their network may extend beyond the individuals currently in custody.
